From 14th to 20th May 2024, the Uttara Museum of Contemporary Art became a space filled with love, memories, and art as it hosted the first commemoration of Mrs. Kritika Uniyal — an artist whose work continues to inspire and touch hearts.

The museum welcomed visitors daily from 10 AM to 7 PM, offering them a chance to witness the beautiful collection of Mrs. Kritika Uniyal’s paintings. Her artworks, reflecting her creative spirit and unique perspective, were displayed across the gallery, leaving everyone deeply moved.

The event began with a serene pooja ceremony on the morning of the inauguration. Family members, friends, and art enthusiasts gathered to offer prayers and pay their respects. The presence of her loved ones and well-wishers made the moment truly special, adding warmth to the solemn occasion.

To engage young minds and honor Mrs. Uniyal’s love for art, a painting competition for children was also organized during the event. It was heartening to see children participate with enthusiasm, expressing themselves through colors and creativity. Their artworks brought a vibrant energy to the space, perfectly complementing the commemoration. At the end of the program, certificates were awarded to all participants and attendees, acknowledging their contribution and presence. It was a small yet meaningful gesture that added to the spirit of togetherness the event aimed to foster.

The commemoration beautifully celebrated art, memories, and community. It served not just as a tribute to Mrs. Kritika Uniyal’s artistic journey but also as a reminder of the impact one life and one canvas can have on so many others.
