Kritika - Our Eternal Muse
Born on November 26, 1993, in Dehradun, Kritika was a gifted artist with a deep love for colors, expression, and beauty in simplicity. From a young age, her parents observed her artistic spark and wholeheartedly supported her passion. After completing her formal education, Kritika pursued an M.A. in Fine Arts and began her professional career with the Department of Education.
Though she handled both work and home with dedication, her heart always remained immersed in art. In 2023, shortly after returning home from work, Kritika passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind her art and her memory in the hearts of those who loved her.
To honor her spirit, her artworks were exhibited for the public for the first time in May 2024 at Uttara Art Gallery, Dehradun. This emotional exhibition marked the beginning of what would soon become the Foundation’s journey.

Our Founders
Mrs. Kamlesh Negi
Mr. Yashpal Singh Uniyal
Like every mother, Mrs. Kamlesh Negi dreamed of watching her children grow up, study well, build happy lives, and one day, create joyful homes of their own. She imagined days filled with laughter, milestones, and the shared journey of family. But fate had other plans.
In 2012, she lost her husband. In 2017, her son passed away in a tragic accident. Just as she gathered the pieces of her heart to move forward for her daughter, life tested her again — in 2023, Kamlesh was diagnosed with cancer. During this difficult time, Kritika stood beside her — caring, encouraging, and holding her hand through treatment. With her daughter’s strength as an anchor, Kamlesh began her healing journey. But before they could return to the rhythm of life, Kritika passed away suddenly on May 14, 2023. The pain was indescribable. Yet from that place of deep sorrow, Kamlesh chose hope. She decided to preserve the light that Kritika had been — not only through her art, but through the values she lived by.
In Kritika’s memory, she co-founded Yashkritika Foundation with her son in law— a space of expression and belonging for others, just as Kritika had been for her.
Mother, Co-Founder and Chairperson
For Mr. Yashpal Uniyal, Kritika was more than his wife — she was a quiet force of strength, creativity, and understanding. Her thoughtful presence brought peace into their lives, and her art was an extension of how she saw the world, full of care, detail, and depth.
Their bond was built on shared dreams of a life rooted in simplicity, empathy, and purpose. After her sudden passing in 2023, Yashpal found himself searching for a way to honour her legacy — something that would reflect not only her talent, but her values. With Kritika’s family, he co-founded Yashkritika Foundation — a space where her spirit continues to inspire. From organizing art events to supporting wellness and social work, Yashpal now carries forward the life and vision they once dreamed together.
