Yashkritika Foundation proudly organized its very first performing arts cultural extravaganza, “Swarangan”, on 28 December 2025 at the Cultural Department Auditorium, Dehradun. True to its name, Swarangan was a heartfelt celebration of rhythm, movement, and artistic expression, and an unforgettable milestone in the foundation’s journey.
The event was nothing short of spectacular. With 80+ artists presenting 40+ performances, Swarangan brought together a vibrant blend of music and dance, spanning genres such as classical, folk, contemporary, hip hop, and more. The auditorium buzzed with creativity, passion, and the shared joy of art.
Opening Ceremony: A Vision Set in Motion
The day began with a warm and inspiring opening ceremony. Mr. Yashpal Uniyal, Founder and Secretary of Yashkritika Foundation, addressed the audience and shared the foundation’s journey, how it began, the challenges it overcame, and its core mission of providing meaningful platforms to artists and nurturing emerging talent.
The event was further elevated by the presence of esteemed guests and dignitaries, Padma Shri Dr. Basanti Bisht, Mr. Balraj Negi, Mr. Narendra Rauthan, Mr. Srijan Dangwal and Mr. Saurabh Maithani. Their words of encouragement and appreciation deeply resonated with both the audience and the artists. Each dignitary applauded the foundation’s efforts and motivated the performers to continue pursuing excellence in their respective art forms.
The Performances - When the Stage Came Alive
The heart of Swarangan lay in its performances, and what a feast it was for the senses. Artists from across the region truly lit up the stage, transforming the auditorium into a canvas of sound, movement, and emotion.
The audience witnessed a breathtaking variety of performances, from graceful classical dances rooted in tradition to high-energy contemporary and hip-hop routines that showcased modern creativity. Soul-stirring musical performances, both vocal and instrumental, filled the hall with melody and rhythm, while folk presentations beautifully reflected the cultural richness of the region.
Artists from several prestigious performing arts institutes also participated, making the event even more special. These included Fusion Music Academy, Kalavriksha Nrityashala, House of Artists, Ghunghroo Kathak Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Nrityayog Kathak Classes, Swar Sadhna Music Academy and Vibrant Feet Dance Academy
Each performance was a testament to the dedication of the artists and the guidance of their mentors. The seamless transitions, diversity of styles, and sheer passion on display kept the audience engaged throughout the evening. As a mark of respect and gratitude, all artists and mentors were felicitated by the founders and esteemed guests for their valuable contributions to the field of performing arts.
Closing Ceremony
The closing ceremony was filled with warmth and appreciation. Mr. Yashpal Uniyal thanked every artist, institute, and guest for being a part of Swarangan and for helping make the event truly memorable. He also took a moment to acknowledge the volunteer team, whose tireless efforts, discipline, and dedication worked behind the scenes to bring the event to life,
A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of the foundation’s Annual Awards 2025.
“The Founder’s Award for Exemplary Contribution” was presented to Ms. Khushi Chandola
“Spirit of the NGO Award” was awarded to Mr. Om Thapliyal,
in recognition of their outstanding contributions and unwavering support to the foundation throughout the year.




A Memorable Milestone
Swarangan was a huge success, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from artists, mentors, and audience members alike. More than just an event, it marked the beginning of a new chapter for Yashkritika Foundation, one rooted in community, creativity, and a shared love for the performing arts.
With Swarangan, the foundation reaffirmed its commitment to celebrating art and empowering artists, and this is only the beginning of many more inspiring platforms to come.
